Veterinarian
Dr. Michelle Meyer is a native of Sterling Heights. She is a Stevenson High School graduate. After high school, she attended Oakland University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology while also running on the cross country team. She traveled to Purdue University for her veterinary degree, where she graduated in 2007. Returning to Michigan to be with her family, she decided to plant roots back in her hometown and has been at Serenity Animal Hospital since. Dr. Meyer has a great love for feline medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and oncology. Her family has grown to include her husband of twenty years, three boys, 2 siamese cats, a saltwater reef tank, and a koi pond.
Dr. Meyer is active in organized veterinary medicine and is currently serving on three different veterinary boards. In 2022 she was president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. In 2023 she joined the Michigan VMA board of directors representing Macomb County. When not at work, Dr. Meyer enjoys distance running (3-10 miles typically), camping with her three energetic boys, reading the latest sci-fi or horror book, and binge-watching the latest Netflix shows.
